	Starting off 2026 with a painting of Morant's Curve in the Rockies, with a steam loco winding next to the Bow River. It was a lot of fun to paint & hopefully has whet my appetite to paint more this year. I never painted much in 2025. Below are some WIP photos from this project:
	I tried painting clouds again. Why, I don't know, because I'm never happy with them. I also experimented with applying gesso with a pallet knife and making textures in the mountains.			Just about finished except for a steamer! And the clouds are gone!!!
	Next for 2026 was Jones Falls near Owen Sound. I like how this turned out, the hardest thing to paint was the bush in the foreground. Took me a little longer to get it right.

	Below is an example of what I do with the stretched canvas, showing painting all the exposed outer & back canvas, and applying a hanging wire. This way, no frame is needed.
