First up is my nephew's sister in law from Barrie. She has admired my paintings and said she wanted one of her horse. I had never painted a horse, but thought: What the hey! We'll give it a shot. Presenting Rukous!

This is Rukous, a Morgan crossed with pony of the Americas. And he is 9

First up, a suitable background, and she didn't want his bridle & halter in the painting

After transferring him and starting to color him in with transparent washes of mostly burnt umber.

Worked on his head first, trying to fine tune the detail. It's coming along nicely, I think

Now adding more color to the body & color to rear fetlocks

I added his forelock, crest & tail. Now he's looking like a horse! Just about done, just want to add some details to the black hair,

and I have to kind of set his feet into the ground, to give it a bit of depth.

Here's Rukous! I think that it turned out well, and Brandy loves it! That's what I like to hear!

Next up was a painting for a friend's dog, her name was Riley, who sadly passed away. This one was difficult because of the shiny black coat.

Then I had the pleasure of painting brother & sister yellow labs: Misty the girl, and Remi, the boy.

These are the pups- Remi on left, Misty on right- this was the client's screensaver on his phone- LOL

This is pretty well the final painting, altho I have to change Misty's eye color slightly.

Then along came a Labradoodle, Ollie, who just looked so cute, that I had to paint him! He belongs to my daughter's best friend

Pretty darn close, even if I do say so, myself! LOL

And the final painting of 2020 was painted for my grandson, Will. He wanted a painting of Tiger at the 18th at Augusta, celebrating an historic win. 15th Major!

Pretty darn good, I think!
